My Story
Larry Telford began his professional photographic career working in a photo lab in 1976. Soon after in 1977 he began working for FamilySearch as a microfilm camera operator. He managed the microfilm operations of FamilySearch in many regions in the Untied States. In 2004, he was asked to help FamilySearch convert its' microfilm operations worldwide to digital imaging. He then helped develop and implement the digital standards used by FamilySearch. Larry also helped develop methodologies and software that were key to rapid digital capture of quality images. He helped develop training materials for training often inexperienced camera operators to capture quality digital images. With Larry's intimate knowledge of historic records, from over 45 years of work in the genealogical records field, he finished his career with FamilySearch as a Content Strategist for North America. After 48 years of service, he retired from FamilySearch.
Larry now offers his expertise in digital imaging, standards compliance, efficient digital workflows and historic records preservation to those looking to improve their quality and profitability.
